The Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Mr. Savenaca Narube is proud to present Miss Lusia Delai as the Reserve Bank’s candidate to the 2006 Suva Hibiscus Carnival. Mr Narube stated that Miss Delai is the 11th contestant to be sponsored by the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
Miss Delai is a Financial Systems Analyst with the Reserve Bank of Fiji. She is 23 years old and began her education at Mount St Mary’s Primary School, Nadi before moving to St John’s College, Cawaci. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Banking & Finance and Information Systems from the University of the South Pacific.
Lusia is proud of her parental heritage; her father is from Naraviravi, Saivou, Ra and her mother is from Motusa, Rotuma. She lists her hobbies as baby sitting, keeping fit, travelling and coordinating social events. Lusia is a proud member of the Reserve Bank of Fiji Mixed Touch Rugby Team, winners of the 2005 and 2006 Business House Mixed Touch Rugby Competition.
Miss Delai said that her participation in this year’s Carnival means that she has an opportunity to contribute directly to the Reserve Bank of Fiji’s goals of generating economic activity while promoting the Hibiscus Carnival atmosphere of unity, friendship and fun.
Mr Narube conveys his best wishes to this year’s Hibiscus Carnival organising committee on the celebration of its 50th Anniversary of the Suva Hibiscus Carnival.
